Creating an Account

  1. Visit the sign-up page and enter your email address
  2. Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters)
  3. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox
  4. Complete your profile with contact information

Adding Students

Before applying to schools, you'll need to add your student's information:

  • Basic Info: Full legal name, date of birth, current grade level
  • Address: Home address for residency verification
  • Priority Claims: Indicate if your student qualifies for priority (sibling, foster care, etc.)

Finding Schools

Use the Find Schools page to browse charter schools in your area. Filter by location and see which schools have open enrollment periods. Each school profile shows their available grades and application deadlines.

Submitting Applications

  1. 1Select a school with open enrollment
  2. 2Choose the student you're applying for
  3. 3Select any applicable priority categories
  4. 4Upload supporting documents (optional but recommended)
  5. 5Review and submit your application

Understanding Lottery Results

After the lottery runs, your application will have one of these outcomes:

Accepted

Your student has been offered a seat

Waitlisted

Your student is on the waiting list

Not Selected

No seat available at this time

Confirming or Declining Seats

If your student is offered a seat, you'll have a deadline to respond. Log into your dashboard to confirm acceptance or decline. If you decline, the seat will be offered to the next student on the waitlist. Missing the deadline may result in losing the seat.

Your school dashboard provides a complete view of enrollment activity:

Setting Up Lottery Cycles

  1. Create Cycle: Name your cycle (e.g., "2026-27 School Year")
  2. Set Dates: Define application open and close dates
  3. Grade Capacity: Set available seats per grade level
  4. Priority Rules: Configure priority categories and order
  5. Open Enrollment: When ready, change status from Draft to Open

Managing Applications

Review incoming applications, verify documentation, and update statuses. Mark applications as Verified to include them in the lottery, or Ineligible with a reason if they don't meet requirements.

Running the Lottery

Once enrollment closes and applications are verified:

  1. 1. Close the enrollment cycle
  2. 2. Review the lottery preview showing eligible applicants
  3. 3. Click "Run Lottery" to execute the random selection
  4. 4. Review and finalize results
  5. 5. Notify families of outcomes
